Nadia's Bio
Nadia started dancing at a very young age and continued her studies through college where she studied choreography; focusing on ethnic dance. She began her bellydance studies 20 years ago as therapy after suffering a back injury from which doctors had told her she would never dance again. Bellydance was her salvation and became an integral part of her life. As a result of her injury, along with her extensive dance training in other formats, she has developed a unique style incorporating both traditional and fusion-style dances. In addition to her traditional styles of Egyptian & Lebanese, Cabaret, and Orientale, her fusion styles include elements of Latin/Flamenco, African, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, and Hip-Hop.
Though a Minnesota native and resident, Nadia has performed and taught classes and workshops throughout the country at various Dance Events, Renaissance Festivals, Restaurants, on Local and National Television, and on international cruise lines. She was a featured dancer on the Discovery and Travel Channels for special, midwest travel episodes, and has appeared on various live performance videos. She has also had the honor of performing for the Dalai Lama along with many other celebrities throughout her extensive travels.
Nadia continues to study as much as possible, learning both traditional and new dance styles. She has studied with many national and international dancers including: Cassandra, Jillina, Suhaila, Fifi Abdo, Dr. Mo Geddawi, Dina, Aida Nour, Asmahan, Aziza, Aradia, Fathiem, John Compton, Mesmera, Jill Parker, Ashley Lopez, Helena Vlahos, Ava Fleming, Kajira Djoumahna, Angelika Nemeth, Habiba, Darshan, DaVid of Scandinavia, and many more.
